Job Description / Responsibility

• Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen
• Closely work with the Executive Chef to ensure menus are cost effective and in accordance with trends and market demands.
• Make sure standard recipes are used, and food is presented according to pictures.
• During operations takes charge of the kitchen, supervises the main pass and coordinate preparation and pickup of all orders.
• Ensures a clean kitchen, hygienic work procedures and high safety in accordance with established standards.
• Maintains food cost as budgeted and takes corrective action as necessary.
• Producing menus and new dishes
• Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders
• Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food
• Managing, training and recruiting a brigade of chefs
• Ensures fresh and quality food products are bought and used in production.
• Implements work practices that minimize spoilage and wastage.
• Checks stock for daily storeroom orders and market list.

Educational Requirements

• Professional degree in hotel management & cookery from a reputed university/Institute or NHTTI (National Hotel & Tourism Training Institute)
• Professional Chef Course from NHTTI
• Health and safety and food hygiene certificates

Experience Requirements

• At least 5 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
  Chef, Catering, Cook
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Hotels/Resorts, Resturants

Additional Job Requirements

• Age 30 to 40 year(s)
• Only males are allowed to apply.
• Excellent cooking skills
• The ability to write menus that are both creative and profitable
